It was in fact built by Tom's brother (name unknown) whom was president of one of the local banks at the time. The veranda columns are of "low relief" ornamentation, resembling terra cotta. The naturalistic stylized foliage interlaced with repeating motifs is reminiscent of the "Sullivanesque" style . Today, Jerry and Glenda Willingham reside within these historic walls at 309 8th.
